The Business of Those Who Have Received Grace

Romans 1:5a

Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship...

 

 

Thoughts for Today:

 

Grace and apostleship are very important terms.

Grace is "unmerited blessing" and represents God's system of salvation.

None of us could or would ever be saved if it wasn't for God's graciousness.

The Greek word for "apostle" is "apostello" meaning "to send out".

Therefore apostleship is "those who are sent out or commissioned" --

Every believer should be one sent forth with a message -- the Gospel message.

It is the business of everyone who professes belief in our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Questions to Ponder:

 

When you became a believer you received salvation and forgiveness of your sins.
Not by anything you did, but because of God's grace.

Have you been sharing your joy?

Every believer should be a witness, one sent out with a message.

Have you been sharing this message -- the Good News?
