1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)

Who you are is determined by how you pray.
1 Chronicles 4:10 (NKJV)
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me
from evil, that I may not cause pain!"
So God granted him what he requested.
Jabez is remembered for a prayer request rather than a heroic act.
In his prayer, he asked God to;
(1) bless him,
(2) help him in his work ("expand my territory"),
(3) be with him in all he did, and
(4) keep him from trouble and pain.
Jabez acknowledged God as the true center of his life.
When we pray for God's blessing, we should also ask him to take
his rightful position as Lord over our work, and our family time.
Bold prayers honor God and God honors bold prayers.
The more specific the prayer thus more glory to God.
God parted the Red Sea and took down the walls of Jericho.
Praying through is all about consistency just like the legend of
“Honi the circle maker”. Honi made a circle in the sand and
Kneeled in the middle of that circle praying for rain to save
his people. “Honi” refused to move until God moved.
The Book of Legends (Talmud) “The Deeds of the Sages”
“Now there was one, whose name was Onias, a righteous
Man he was, and beloved of God, who, in a certain drought,
Prayed to God to put an end to the intense heat, and
whose prayers God had heard, and sent them rain.
(Honi or Choni the circle maker aka Onias the rain maker)
Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.
God does not promise to give us everything we think is good,
but he will not withhold what is permanently good.
He will give us the means to walk along his paths, but we must do the walking.
When we obey him, he will not hold anything back that will help us serve him.
The bigger the circle the greater the glory for God.
Circle your Jericho and intercede until God intervenes.

“Blunders to Blessings”
Apostle
Peter did what seemed best at the moment.
He
denied Jesus three times.Peter said, “I am not”
John 18:17, 25, 27
Despite
Peter’s flaws,
Jesus
restored him to ministry with these words;“Feed My Sheep”
John 21: 15, 16, 17
Have
you ever been disobedient and you did
what
seemed best for you at the moment ?
Yes,
we are so human and make foolish blunders.
However,
what is important is that;"we love Jesus and that Jesus loves us".
It
is a serious sin to deny Christ,
but
Jesus forgave Peter.(John21:15-17).
No
sin is too great for Jesus to forgive if
you
are truly repentant. He will forgive even your worst sin if
you turn from it and ask his pardon.
All the disciples declared that,
they would die before denying Jesus.
A few hours later, however, they all
scattered.
It is easy to say we are devoted to
Christ, but our claims are meaningful only when they are tested.
How strong is your faith?
Is it strong enough to stand up under intense trial?
Will you stand up for Jesus ?
Will you share your faith ?Will you feed His sheep ?

Ramblings of this Old Man
Some Church congregations are shrinking and is the cause being ignored?
Is the solution obvious, but ignored?
Is solution simple, but ignored by most churches?
A Hospital has patients with many differences and what if the doctor gave them all the same medicine?
Solution simple, yes;
The hospital offers different treatments for different patients.
The congregation members are of many differences; ages, life experiences, education, financial, health, Spiritual maturity.
Parable, yes,
Is the congregation your patients?
Have you lost some of your patients ?
Should you offer different services for different people?
